Economy Minister Hwej discusses increased economic cooperation with Turkish trade delegation in Tripoli

(GNU).

The Tripoli based Libyan government reported today that the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwej, held a meeting on the same day with a delegation of Turkish businessmen and industrialists at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters.

The meeting discussed prospects for strengthening economic and trade cooperation and expanding investment partnerships between the two countries.

Industry, agriculture and urban planning
The meeting addressed the development of Libyan Turkish economic relations and reviewed investment opportunities in the Libyan market, particularly in the fields of industry, agriculture, urban planning, and the organization of exhibitions and conferences, with the aim of supporting the national economy and enhancing the investment climate.

Turkey is a strategic partner for Libya
The Minister affirmed that Turkey is a strategic partner for Libya, emphasizing the importance of moving towards long-term investment partnerships, especially in the agricultural sector, to increase production, meet domestic demand, and move towards exporting.

For their part, the Libyan government reported, the members of the Turkish delegation expressed their desire to establish sustainable partnerships with Libyan companies and to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the investment law. They also discussed organizing joint exhibitions and economic meetings to enhance cooperation between business owners in both countries.
