Akakus Oil drills 15 wells since January – producing 25,000 bpd

Akakus Oil Operations announced today that it has succeeded in exceeding its production target of 320,000 barrels per day, having reached approximately 325,796 barrels per day as of 30 December 2025.

The company said this achievement comes as part of its strategic plans to increase production rates and is the result of a comprehensive package of well-considered technical and administrative measures. It is also part of the continuous efforts exerted by the company’s various departments, clearly demonstrating the high level of coordination and institutional integration between the technical and administrative teams.

Progress by adhering to approved target for number of drilled wells
The Engineering and Projects Department played a pivotal role in achieving this progress by adhering to the approved target for the number of drilled wells. To date, ten new wells have been connected, in addition to the successful commissioning of a significant strategic project.

This project enabled the operator to transfer surplus production from Block I&R to the main separation station in Block NC-186 with maximum operational efficiency, optimal utilization of available resources, and full compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements.
