(GNU).

The Tripoli based Libyan government reported yesterday that its Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, received the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, and his accompanying delegation.

Resumption of flights
The meeting addressed the perennial issue of the possibility of resuming British Airways flights to Libyan airports and reviewed the technical and regulatory procedures in place for securing and operating international flights.

The two sides also discussed prospects for cooperation between Libya and the United Kingdom, particularly in the transportation and energy sectors, and explored opportunities for British companies to participate in strategic projects within the oil and gas sector, in coordination with the National Oil Corporation.
