New German-made 154-ton container crane arrives at Benghazi’s Julyana Free Port

Benghazi’s Julyana Free Port increases shipping traffic: 43 ships docked in January

‎Julyana Free Zone Port reported yesterday that it has received a new 154-ton German-made (Liebherr LHM 550) container crane.‎ It will join four existing container cranes at the free zone port. ‎

‎The Free Port reported that the new crane represents an important addition to the port, and it is unique in Libyan ports, characterized by ease of movement from one berth to another.‎

‎It is considered one of the latest and finest cranes, manufactured in 2025, supplies with a stock of spare parts intended for periodic maintenance.‎

‎The Free Port reports that it has five container cranes, two of which have a loading capacity of 85 tons, a crane with a capacity of 100 tons, and another with 60 tons, all of which operate with high efficiency inside the Free Zone Port.‎
