UAE Civil Aviation delegation visits Benghazi’s Benina Airport

Egyptian security inspection team tours Benghazi’s Benina airport

A Civil Aviation delegation from the UAE visited Benghazi’s Benina Airport yesterday, the airport reported yesterday. Although Benina airport did not specify, the visit is presumably to assess the readiness of the airport to receive UAE flights.

‎Benina Airport reported that the delegation conducted a field tour of all vital sites within the airport, all the services available inside the airport and checked the security situation inside the airport.‎

‎It also reported that all aspects and facilities provided by the management of Benina Airport to the operating airlines, whether local or foreign companies, were discussed.‎

‎They also discussed all regulations and safety systems followed inside the airport and the extent of their compliance with international procedures and specifications in order to conduct flights.‎

‎Benina airport reported that the delegation expressed its admiration for the security methods used inside the airport and the separation of the air side inside the airport.‎ The airport is surrounded by a protection fence.

It also reported that the UAE delegation expressed their admiration for the high-precision and advanced security protection devices with international specifications used inside the airport and all the services and facilities provided by the airport’s management to foreign and local airlines.‎

The delegation was met by the Director General of the airport, the Head of the General Intelligence Office, the Director of the Office of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority Eastern Branch‎, the Director of Aircraft Security and Facilities of the Airports Authority, and the Director of the Security Office, Airport Management.‎‎

It will be recalled that the UAE Civil Aviation team had visited Tripoli’s Mitiga airport last Monday 17 February.
