Libya’s state National Oil Corporation reported that its subsidiary, the Zawia Oil Refining Company, is to establish a 100-million litre industrial oils plant in Benghazi. The revelation was made by the company’s Chairman during a speech yesterday at the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the company. The event was held at the Benghazi Asphalt Plant.
The chairman said work is underway to establish the mixing and canning plant to produce the latest types of oils of various types with a production capacity of 100 million litters annually.
He also praised the level of performance of the Benghazi Asphalt Plant, and its success in covering the region’s needs of asphalt material and meeting the requirements of reconstruction and infrastructure projects in the region.
He stressed that it is an integral part of the Zawia Oil Refining Company, adding that each user of the Benghazi’s Asphalt plant represents a fundamental pillar of the company’s successful march.
