Minister of Industry and Minerals discusses cooperation with E&Y in industrial and technical innovation

Minister of Industry meets the Committee for Localisation of Oil Materials and Equipment Industry

The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Ahmed Abuhisa, discussed at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters with the delegation of the British based international consulting firm E&Y (Ernst & Young) ways of cooperation.

The focus was on cooperation in the areas of supporting industrial and technical innovation, technology transfer, and successful experiences.

The meeting was in the presence of the Executive Director of the Technological Industrial Park, Abdul Latif Al-Gadi, and the Deputy Executive Director, Mr. Khaled Al-Zaidi.

Technological Industrial Park, business and communications incubators and accelerators
The meeting discussed the proposed aspects of cooperation with the Technological Industrial Park, where the delegation reviewed their experiences in many countries of the world, with a focus on the successful experience in supporting the technological industrial parks in Tunisia, as well as some cooperation programmes with ministries and institutions in Libya in the field of supporting business and communications incubators and accelerators.

Libyan competencies with international partnerships
The Minister affirmed the broad outlines of the ministry’s directions and its focus on supporting the industrial sector that keeps pace with rapid technical changes, based on Libyan competencies to benefit from local capabilities and wealth, but open to international partnerships.
