A Turkish technical delegation reconfirmed their country’s desire to resume the return of Turkish airlines to Libyan airports in cooperation with the Libyan side.
The reconfirmation came today during a meeting between Presidential Council Deputy, Musa Al-Koni, and a technical delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs which he received in Tripoli.
The Turkish delegation included Assistant Director General of the Maritime Department of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ‘‘Farid Orgun Başaran’’, and Assistant Director General of the Middle East Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ‘‘Hussein Barbaros Degla’’.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that coordination will continue with officials in the aviation sector in the two countries to resume the return of flights ‘‘as soon as possible’’ after preparing the relevant technical reports that confirm the readiness of Libyan airports to receive Turkish airlines.
The news was welcomed by Presidency Council Deputy Koni.
