Internal Security arrests NOC Chairman’s Office Manager for corruption in supply of medicines for Derna and its environs

Libya's Internal Security Agency.

The Internal Security Agency in Tripoli arrested the Director of the Office of the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), after obtaining information regarding corruption related to the supply of medicines and medical equipment to those affected by the Storm Daniel Derna disaster and other areas in the Jabal Al Akhdar.

Abusing position to issue direct purchasing orders
The Libya Herald learned from the General Administration of the Security Service in Tripoli that the accused took advantage of his position is to issue direct purchasing orders to some companies for the supply of medicines and medical equipment to the Derna and the affected areas in Jabal Al Akhdar.

At the same time, the director of one of the supply companies was arrested for investigation.

The Internal Security Service confirmed that it will refer those arrested to the Public Prosecution after completing the evidence-gathering report to complete the investigations and determine the incident.
