The Libyan American Company Solutions for Environment Services (ES) organized a workshop in collaboration with the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Benghazi yesterday.

The workshop included presentations covering: Practical Guidelines and Pest Control Fundamentals for Food Production Facilities; The Importance of Stored Grain Protection; Fumigation Fundamentals and Other Techniques and Digital Agriculture Services in Libya. Among other activities in Libya, ES is the franchise holder for the U.S.-based Orkin pest control company.

Participants in the workshop included representatives from the Benghazi Municipality, Benghazi Environmental Sanitation Department, Benghazi Food and Drug Control Centre, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, and various university professors.

Opening an office in Benghazi soon
Simon Williams, General Manager of ES said, “We were happy to have the opportunity to present these materials to relevant stakeholders in Benghazi. We were given a warm welcome by the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce and all the participants.

We expect to be opening an office in Benghazi soon, and we look forward to supporting Benghazi-based companies. Our digital agriculture services are unique in Libya and can help achieve food security by increasing crop yields and reducing the use of water, pesticides and fertilizer”.
