The committee in charge of preparing the investment structure proposal for Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport held its meeting at the Airports Authority’s headquarters, based on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Libyan Airports Authority reported on Sunday.

The Airports Authority reported that the meeting discussed the committee’s proposal for structuring Mitiga’s investment project, financing mechanisms and implementation stages, and reviewing the economic feasibility study after adding the required amendments.

The meeting reviewed the memorandum of the committee prepared in response to the memorandum referred by the Minister of State for Prime Ministerial Affairs, which recommended adding amendments to the investment project proposal that include some basic components, the establishment of an investment portfolio, and the expansion of the base of participation in the project to include public institutions, private companies and individuals.

The company developing the project provided an explanation of the latest developments related to the study and the amendments added to it, and the economic feasibility outputs of the concession project according to the Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) method, prepared by KPMG Consulting.
