Reopening Ghadames border crossing discussed by Transport Minister and Algerian Ambassador

Libya’s Transport Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahubi, met in his office at the headquarters of the Ministry’s office on Wednesday Suleiman Chenine, the Algerian ambassador and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, issues of common interest in the field of transport were reviewed, aspects of cooperation were discussed, and prospects were opened in all fields related to the transportation sector, the Ministry reported.

Reopening the crossing as soon as possible
The meeting also discussed the problems and obstacles that delayed the reopening of the border crossing (Debdeb-Ghadames) and how to solve them, and open the crossing as soon as possible to facilitate traffic.

The Minister of Transport praised the depth of relations between the two countries, stressing his keenness to strengthen them.

For his part, the Algerian ambassador expressed his thanks for this meeting, expressing his country’s determination to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation in the field of transportation, and that his country desires to activate cooperation at various levels and search for how to return flights between the two countries.
