The third regular meeting of the Supreme Council for Energy Affairs was held, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Council and several National Oil Corporation (NOC) experts, at the NOC yesterday.

The meeting was devoted to following up on the Corporation’s plan to raise production to 2 million, discussing the Corporation’s estimated budget, and addressing carbon dioxide emissions for the two installations (A-E). Executive procedures were also discussed to initiate the activation of the alternative energy file.

Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldadaiba, Chairman of the Council, confirmed that supporting the NOC and standing on its programmes and approving them is a priority for all state institutions.

Alternative energy an urgent necessity
He said starting the alternative energy file has become an urgent necessity that cannot be delayed to start working on it, and the participation of international companies in this file to benefit from it in transferring knowledge, and ensuring serious implementation, according to approved timetables.

The meeting affirmed the support of the National Oil Corporation and the adoption of its plan 2023-2027, unifying efforts to launch the alternative energy project, and resolving any difficulties that stand in the way of its launch.
