Libya has rescheduled debt repayments owed to it by the Seychelles, Nicaragua and Montenegro.
This was agreed at various meetings held by Libya’s Minister of Finance, Khaled Mabruk, held on the side lines of his participation in the annual meetings (10 -16 October) of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC.
The Ministry reported that Nicaragua has rescheduled its debt to Libya in equal semi-annual instalments.
Seychelles is to repay its loan of US$ 4.5 million within a maximum period of one year.
Montenegro signed a settlement agreement to repay its US$ 4 million loan before the end of this year.
