The Libyan French Business and Development Forum was held in Tripoli yesterday.
The forum was organised by Business France, in cooperation with the Libyan French Chamber, and under the supervision of the General Union of Libyan Chambers.
A high-level French delegation, including a large number of representatives from leading French companies in various fields, participated in the event, the General Union reports.
The event was attended by the French Ambassador to Libya, the Director of Business France North Africa, and a large number of Libyan government officials and businessmen.
During the meeting, several dialogue sessions were held to discuss aspects of economic and trade cooperation between the two sides, and the desire of French companies to operate and invest in Libya in various fields, such as construction and major projects, such as airports, ports, and energy.
Some issues related to banking transactions between the two sides were raised, and ways to overcome them and open up prospects for stronger and more connected cooperation.
Through the bilateral meetings, a clear desire on both sides to strengthen economic relations to serve the interests of both countries was noted, the General Union reported.
