Malta’s ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, confirmed today that the Maltese embassy will start accepting visa applications in the city of Benghazi starting next Sunday, 24 July. Applications will be processed by VFS Global.
It will be recalled that in April this year, ambassador Saliba had also confirmed to Libya Herald that the Consulate of Malta had started accepting Schengen tourism visa applications through VFS Global in Tripoli as of the 27th of March.
Italy started granting visas in June
It will also be recalled that the Italian Consulate General in Benghazi has started granting tourist visas to Libyan citizens wishing to enter Italy in June this year.
The Italian Consulate in Benghazi had opened on 5 July 2021 headed by Carlo Batori.
