Italy’s Benghazi Consul Batori meets Business Council’s eastern branch head

London, 10 August 2021:

Fawzia Al-Furjani, head of the Libyan Business Council, Eastern Region Branch, met Italy’s Benghazi Consul Carlo Batori at the LBC’s Benghazi headquarters Sunday.

The LBC reported that during the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the business sectors in the two countries were discussed, especially in the eastern region, as well as discussing the removal of obstacles and facilitating the activation of partnerships between Italian and Libyan companies.

The LBC reported that after a thorough explanation by Furjani of the role and work of the LBC, Batori expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the role of the LBC’s administration, being a unified body at the national level and with multiple participations and a great role in effective economic exchange and cooperation with the private sector in other countries.

He expressed his admiration for its components, structure and method of work to support the role of the private sector the national economy and diversification of sources of income and economic activities,

Batori also expressed his pleasure and support for cooperation programmes between Italy and Libya, and the importance of continuing consultations and meetings between the two parties to achieve all this in practice.
