The Maltese Embassy in Tripoli announced yesterday that Ambassador-Designate of Malta Libya, Franklin Aquilina, has recently arrived in Tripoli and assumed his duties. Aquilina succeeds Charles Saliba.
Today, the Embassy reported that Ambassador-Designate Aquilina paid a courtesy call on Taher Hussein, Director of General Protocol Department, within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya.
During this meeting they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the esteemed Protocol Office and the Embassy of Malta in Tripoli.
They also agreed on the importance of continued consultation and coordination in the interest of our two friendly peoples.
