Libya’s Health Minister Ali Zanati discussed Thursday with representatives of French company Denos provision of integrated management services for Benghazi Medical Centre (BMC).
The Ministry reported that Denos representatives expressed their readiness to implement the operations of the BMC, in addition to training health workers, and attracting medical teams specialized in various fields.
In a related context, the Minister of Health explained that his discussions with the representatives of Denos come within the framework of activating health cooperation agreements concluded between Libya and France, which have been suspended since 2011, with the aim of localizing health treatment inside in Libya, in addition to discussing procedures related to the treatment of Libyan children who need bone marrow transplant operations in France.
It will be recalled that in 2007, Libya signed health cooperation agreements with France under which a number of leading French companies in the field of hospital management and provision of integrated management services for a number of medical centres in Libya, in addition to signing other agreements requiring teams of French surgeons to perform major surgeries within Libyan hospitals.
