London, 28 February 2021:

Ageela Saleh, the head of the internationally recognized and Tobruk based Libyan parliament, the House of Representatives (HoR), called for a meeting on Monday 8 March.

Saleh said the meeting will be held in Sirte on condition that the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) officially confirms that it can provide security for the session. Failing that, Saleh said the meeting will be held in Tobruk.

The meeting, Saleh said in his statement, comes in response to the presentation to the HoR by prime minister designate Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba of his vision for his Government of National Unity (GNU).
