The Ministry of Finance of the internationally recognized Libyan government yesterday launched its digital operations by e-mails and the conversion of its paper archives to electronic archiving.
It said this comes as part of its plan to shift to modern digital management to save time and effort.
The Ministry stated that the digital archiving system contains a variety of classifications, and an electronic correspondence system, which speeds up various searches, provides alert notifications, increases the speed of preparing reports of various kinds due to easy access to information in the digital archive, as well as support its planning functions.
It informed that digital archiving also provides protection for files and documents from damage and loss, in addition to the possibility of rapid retrieval and forwarding of correspondence and documents with better security and confidentiality. The ministry confirmed that the new archiving system is technically compatible with the rest of the digital systems developed by the ministry, such as the human resource planning system.
