Libya’s Industry Union (LIU) held a workshop in Tripoli on Tuesday entitled ‘‘The effects of the energy crisis on the industrial sector and its treatment’’.
The LIU reported that the workshop was attended by 93 representatives of public and private entities including members of parliament, the government, the National Oil Corporation, the General Electricity Company of Libya and the leading industrial companies in Libya
It reported that seven papers were presented (unpublished) in the workshop on relevant topics followed by lengthy discussions.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations (unpublished) that the LIU said it will follow up on with the relevant authorities to help solve the energy crisis.
