London, 13 October 2019:
The Foreign Ministry of Libya’s internationally recognized government based in Tripoli has rejected a call by the Arab League to reduce its diplomatic representation and its cooperation with Turkey.
The call was made by the Arab League Foreign Ministerial meeting for all Arab states not to cooperate with the Turkish government and reduce diplomatic representation.
The meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers came days after Turkish forces attacked northern Syria to keep away what it described as Kurdish terrorist organizations and to create a safe zone 30 km between the Turkish border with Syria.
