Benghazi’s first market reopened for the first time in three years as the once hotly-contested districts of the city seek to get back to normal.
Fishmongers in the market at Juliana port reportedly did a steady trade though the amount of fish on display did not appear large.
Elsewhere in the city in clean-up continues, despite the presence of unexploded ordnance. In the Old Market and Al-Sharif Street locals were out with brooms sweeping away accumulated dirt and rubbish that has accumulated.
The roller shutters on one coffee shop creaked open for the first time in almost three years to reveal a picture of dust and decay.
