Tripoli, 4 July 2017:

Khoms hospital lacks medication and basic supplies a delegation from the town complained to Presidency Council (PC) deputy Ahmed Maetig today in Tripoli.

The Khoms party was led by mayor Khalid Benor and included House of Representatives members Kamal Al-Shalabi and Abubakr Milad.

Maetig was told that the hospital not only served the town but a large surrounding region and could currently not cope.

Poor security also meant that infrastructure projects important to the town were stalled.  Two days ago Khoms power station was attacked and GECOL has said that one worker was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
