Tripoli, 22 May 2017:

A new video has emerged that appears to show the summary execution of two militant suspects in Benghazi, in which a man resembling Mahmoud Warfali, the senior Saiqa Special Forces commander, was seen to order two gunmen forward to carry out the killings.

The eight-second clip emerged on social media today but there are no indications of when or where it was taken.

The two victims wearing camouflage uniforms are kneeling with their backs to the gunmen. The man resembling Warfali walks away from the pair and raises and drops is left arm. In the last killing video to be released featuring this individual, he had spent some time haranguing his supporters about the justice of what was about to happen before he himself took a pistol and shot the kneeling victim dead.

On this occasion however it is two of his men, one dressed in a red top and combat trousers and the other in full military garb who step forward briskly and fire 13 pistol rounds into the two prisoners.

The clip on social media carried an inset picture above each victim but their identities are not clear.
