Tunis, 19 January 2016:
Prime minister-designate Faiez Serraj has said that he is anticipating that his new Government of . . .[restrict]National Accord will be soon able to start work in Tripoli.
A weary-looking Serraj said in a low-key TV broadcast late this morning that he hoped his government would be able to make a success of Revolution for which so many young people had died.
Libyans had to work together he warned, to overcome the many people who only wanted chaos in the country. The presence of armed militias made Libya a mess, he said. There were too many weapons.
He concluded his brief address saying: “We have sent this result [the GNA deal] to the parliament for approval”. [/restrict]
