Sabratha Municipality has condemned Tunisian and international media for accusing the city of harbouring IS . . .[restrict]camps.
In its statement, the Municipality said the ‘’reoccurring false accusations that the city harbours training camps for terror groups..despite the previous statements to the media and international organizations such as UNSMIL and the EU’’ still persist.
The Municipality assured its support of a Libyan state of law, and institutions, justice, moderate Islam, rejecting extremism and terrorism. It refuted the presence of IS camps in the city.
The Municipality has invited the media – including a specific invitation to Libya Herald – to visit the city to conduct their investigations guaranteeing them freedom of movement within it. [/restrict]
