Benghazi, 4 June 2015:
The Albena branch of the Wahda bank on Benghazi’s Triq al Sahel (Coast Road) closed . . .[restrict]this morning after a security guard was shot dead in what was initially thought to be an armed raid.
However, Mokhtar Al-Warshafani was killed in what turned out to be a tragic accident. He and a colleague were trying to control a large crowd outside the bank who had gathered to draw out cash before the weekend. They fired their guns into the air. Unfortunately a bullet fell back and hit the man.
The branch was later reopened for business. [/restrict]
