By Libya Herald reporter.

Beida, 31 March 2015:

Two young Tebu men have been killed near Obari in what is being described as . . .[restrict]a racially-motivated attack. The incident took place on Sunday evening on the road outside the village of Ghrefa, between Sebha and Obari.

“Two Tebus who happened to be passing by [the village] were killed by a family in Ghrefa” a Sebha source told the Libya Herald.

The day before to the killing, the source said, a man from a family in Ghrefa was killed in what is thought to have been an attempted car jacking. The family threatened to kill any Tebu they came across, because they said they suspected a Tebu of the first killing.

In a separate incident in the area, a decapitated body was found early yesterday morning near Al-Geairaat village, south of Obari. It is thought be that of 36-year-old Masoud Al-Hadi Amer, a local resident, who was reported missing a month ago. The circumstances of his disappearance ae still a mystery. He is said to be a cousin of Abdurrahman Shalgum, Qaddafi’s sometime foreign minister and then ambassador to the UN who defected at the beginning of the revolution.

Meanwhile in Sebha, a Nigerean man found dead on Monday night on the airport road. [/restrict]
