Tripoli, 14 February 2015:
There have been fresh clashes in western Libya between Libya Dawn forces and those of . . .[restrict]the Libyan National Army (LNA) south of Aziziya, near Kikla and near Al-Jmail.
In what it described as a surprise attack south of Libya Dawn-controlled Aziziya, the LNA’s Western Operations Room claimed this afternoon to have seized ground around an area referred to as Qasarat. The fighting appears to be linked to a bid by Dawn to attack LNA forces near Kikla.
The hospital in Ghariyan confirmed fighting in the area, saying that it had received the bodies of two Libya Dawn fighters killed near Kikla as well as five wounded.
Further west, near Al-Jmail, separate heavy clashes between the two forces continued for the fourth successive day. Dead and injured fighters have been taken to the hospital at Zuwara but no numbers have been given. [/restrict]
