Libyan policemen have completed a training conducted by UNICEF on Child Rights and Child Protection.
Fifty . . .[restrict]Libyan police officers participated in the programme, which took place in Zarzis, Tunisia. Officers previously received training by UNICEF on Juvenile Justice. The International Bureau for Child Rights (IBCR) shared responsibility with UNICEF for conducting the trainings.
The Libyan Police Academy has been cooperating with UNICEF since 2013.
“Our partnership with the Police Academy supports UNICEF continuous efforts to promote Child Rights in Libya,” said Ghassan Khalil, UNICEF Special Representative in Libya.
Representatives from both UNICEF and IBCR expressed their approbation for the level of enthusiasm displayed by the Libyans during the training sessions. [/restrict]
