Brega also revealed that its maintenance department has started cleaning some of the damaged fuel pumps at the depot from the residue caused by the fires. The company stated that this cleaning process is to enable an inspection of the fuel pumps in preparation for their repairs.

As a result of the fires at the Brega’s Airport Road fuel depot, Greater Tripoli as well as cities as far as Khoms, have suffered fuel and domestic gas shortages. These have led to long queues ranging from 2-4 hours at the few petrol stations that are open. [/restrict]
