The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced today that ENI North Africa has spud its exploration offshore . . .[restrict]well (B1-16/4 in Contract Area “D”).
The exploration area was granted to ENI-NA under the EPSA IV contract model signed between the ENI-NA and Libya’s NOC on 01 January 2008.
The Exploration well will be drilled in a water depth of 490 feet (149 meters) and it is located about 92 kilometres north of Tripoli and 44 kilometres south of Al-Bouri Oil Field.
The estimated total depth of the well is (11,000 feet) and drilling is expected to be completed in 3 months from the spud date. [/restrict]
