Ezzeddin Al-Awami, First Deputy President of the General National Congress arrived to Cairo yesterday . . .[restrict]to attend today’s inauguration of Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi as a President of Egypt. He was accompanied by the Foreign Minister, Mohamed Abdulaziz, and the acting Interior Minister Saleh Mazegh as well as by Marj Congressman Sharif El-Wafi.
Awami, Abdulaziz and Mazegh are expected to have talks with Sisi and the Egyptian government while in Cairo. Abdulaziz was in the Egyptian capital four days ago.
According to sources, caretaker Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni was also invited to the inauguration. It is not yet known if he will attend or remain in Beida where he is currently based.
Also not known is whether Prime Minister-designate Ahmed Maetig was invited. He has congratulated Sisi on his election and was reported to have said that he would go to Cairo if invited. [/restrict]
