Tripoli, 23 March 2014:
A former revolutionary who recently joined the navy was found shot dead in . . .[restrict]his car on Friday in Derna.
“Wanis Saleh Al-Jazwey, a recent navy recruit was found dead in his car, on Friday morning. He was apparently on his way to back to Derna,” an official in Derna told the Libya Herald.
No further details have been made available.
Derna is viewed considered particularly dangerous at present. Last month, 11 people were died in what were regarded as politically motivated killing, up from three the previous month. This month there has already been the same number, plus other slayings such as the murder of two Wahda banks employees, killed by their abductors after a failed armed robbery. [/restrict]
