The Spokesperson and Director of the Marketing Department for the state Wahda Bank, Ahmed Al-Turki, said that Wahda Bank is the first African bank to obtain ISO 27001 accreditation in the Swift environment with the internationally recognized standard for information security.

Al-Turki added that a delegation of Wahda Bank to Tunisia, led by the General Manager Fawzi Tadweh, was honoured and crowned with this achievement by the Tunisian Banking Consulting Company, in the presence of a number of Tunisian bank managers and others specialized in the banking field and international experts in banking systems and information security.

Al-Turki indicated that after the bank obtained this achievement, it proves that the bank is committed to a high-quality banking environment and brilliance at the local and international levels. Al-Turki stressed that the importance of this achievement lies in the positive impact on companies and financial institutions in Libya.
