Tripoli, 30 March 2014:
The head of Ajdabiya’s security directorate escaped an attempt to . . .[restrict]kidnap him this afternoon, according to a source in the town.
Abdulfattah Al-Dallal had been at a meeting with the head of the town’s joint security room and the head of the coast guards. As he left the meeting, two carloads of armed men tried to seize him. However, security room and coast guard forces came to his rescue and the gunmen fled.
There are claims that the attackers were members of Ibrahim Jedhran’s forces, but this cannot be verified. [/restrict]
