Tripoli, 27 December 2013:

The government, by virtue of  Prime Ministerial Resolution No 773, has given the Ministry of Oil and Gas . . .[restrict]permission to sell bitumen (asphalt/tarmac) to Local Councils and government departments on credit.

It will be recalled that in July the Roads and Bridges Authority had awarded 48 road maintenance contracts for projects all over Libya to local companies.

Since summer, numerous road surfacing and maintenance projects have been seen all over the country.
