Three health centres opened in Benghazi after maintenance and development

‎The Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Belgasem Khalifa Haftar, inaugurated three medical centres in Benghazi last Sunday (13 July).

The Khalid bin Al-Walid Clinic Complex was opened equipped with the highest specifications and capabilities after its maintenance and development work was completed after years of neglect. ‎

‎The Al-Kish Centre for Specialized Clinics and Primary Health Care was also inaugurated, after completing its maintenance and modernization work after years of lack of interest in developing and modernizing it. ‎The importance of the project in supporting the health sector and relieving pressure on other medical facilities in the city was stressed at the ceremony. ‎

‎Al-Kish is also one of the vital health centers in Benghazi ‎‎and its reopening represents an important step towards improving health services provided to citizens and enhancing reconstruction efforts in the city, it was reported. ‎

Finally, the Al-Kuwaifiya Hospital was also inaugurated after the completion of maintenance and development works, modernization of all its facilities and equipping it with the highest specifications.

The Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund said this is a step aimed at supporting the health sector and creating a suitable work environment for all medical staff to provide full medical services to citizens with the highest possible quality.‎

Al-Kuwaifiya Hospital is also one of the most important ‎‎specialized hospitals in the Eastern Province, and its opening comes to restore hope in the development of the health infrastructure that has been affected during the past years. ‎

The opening ceremonies took place in the presence of several members of the House of Representatives, the Minister of Health of the Libyan government, the Director of Project Management at the Fund and the Mayor of Benghazi
