Tripoli, 3 November 2013:

Tripoli’s second Heritage and Tourism festival ended last night with poetry readings and a stunning performance of ‘Malouf’ – Libyan traditional religious music, behind the illuminated Marcus Aurelius Arch.

The two-day festival included a walking tour exploring the historic buildings of Tripoli Old Town, a show featuring traditional Libyan costumes and an exhibition of hand-made craft items. There were also lectures on Libyan heritage. It was sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and a private tourism company named after the arch itself. [/restrict]
