Tripoli, 15 November 2013:
The Ministry of Education is distributing 20 new mobile classrooms to schools across the country . . .[restrict]that are short of teaching space.
The new classrooms are part of the ‘My School’ project run one of Libya’s state-owned mobile phone companies Almadar, under the supervision of the country’s education sector.
The new classrooms have been distributed to schools in Zliten, Marj, Tobruk, Derna, Shahat and Qasr Bin Ghashir.
The mobile classrooms are similar to ones currently being used in Zliten. The town lost 13 schools during the revolution because they were used by Qaddafi forces to store munitions and were later bombed by NATO.
Following protests from staff and students, on Tuesday, several contracts were signed to build new schools in Zliten, according to LANA. [/restrict]
