Tripoli, 15 September 2013:
The local authorities in Sirte are continuing their efforts to rebuild the war-battered town.
On Saturday, the Local . . .[restrict]Council’s Transportation Committee started implementing a project to restore 66 kilometres of road badly damaged during the revolution. Besides road renovations, the project includes the installation of traffic lights and road signs. A main road has also been fitted with street lights courtesy of the Sirte Electricity Company.
In a statement to LANA, Sirte’s director of transportation, says his team is currently working on the maintenance of the main roads both inside and outside the town. The work was awarded to a national construction company through a public tender. [/restrict]
