The second edition of the event will held from 12-14 September and will again be held at the Corinthia hotel this year.
Over a long 54 hour weekend, individuals and groups will pitch their business ideas on Friday night to a panel of experts who will vote on the best ones.
During the weekend participants – winners and losers – will get to learn the basics of establishing startups and launching successful business ventures, so that by the end of the event on Sunday night most should walk away better off.
Participants will receive over the weekend coaching, training and mentoring by various experts, trainers and leading business executives in the hope of giving them a better chance at creating a new business venture: a startup. Winners won various training courses last year.
The event is expected to grow in size and participation with, over 800 registered to attend so far on the event’s Facebook page. Last year the Leptis hall at Corinthia was packed full. Registration is still open for those who wish to participate and pitch a business idea.
At least two ministers are expected to attend this year’s event including the Ministry of Economy’s Department of Small and Medium Sized Enterprizes (SMEs) that has been rebranded Enterprize Libya.
