Arts MA scholarship for London study

Tripoli, 31 May 2013:

Applications are being sought . . .[restrict]from promising arts students from the Middle East and North Africa wishing to study on Masters’ programmes in London.

The Caspian Arts Foundation is offering the scholarship, worth £25,000, for students who display exceptional talent and potential and wish to study for their Masters in fine arts, film, photography or fashion at one of London’s top arts universities.

To be eligible, applicants must be accepted on or currently applying for a place on a full-time Masters’ degree course at one of the University of the Arts London colleges. Applicants should be undergraduates, graduates or able to demonstrate equivalent and applicable experience. A digital portfolio showing ten pieces of recent work will also be required.

Applicants must be permanent residents or citizens from Libya or one of the other MENA countries specified by the Caspian Arts Foundation.

The scholarship will cover course fees and maintenance support for a Masters’ course for the academic year 2013-14.

The Caspian Arts Foundation was founded in 2011 with the intention of opening doors for students from the MENA region and promoting unity between cultures through the arts. The scholarships it offers: “Aim to assist the most promising students to overcome financial disadvantage and to give them a platform to develop to their full potential.”

It is anticipated that the students awarded the scholarships will make unique contributions to the worlds of art, film and photography.

The closing date for applications is 5 July 2013.
