The passport office in Derna was damaged in a fire last night, in what is believed . . .[restrict]to have been an arson attack.
“It was not an accident” a source connected to the office said.
However, the damage affected only part of the building and staff would be back at work on Thursday, the source added.
The culprit is believed to be known to the authorities.
On Friday, gunmen attacked the headquarters of a security battalion in the town, killing one of its members, and a car bomb was discovered shortly afterwards. [/restrict]
