Tripoli, 5 March 2013:
A car bomb blew . . .[restrict]up early Friday morning in front of a government building in Beida. A security guard suffered injuries in the blast but the vehicle, reported as a Daewoo Cielo, was totally destroyed and nearby buildings damaged.
Following the explosion, gunfire from both light and heavy weaponry was heard in the west of the town. Road blocks were set up to try and catch the perpetrators.
An investigation is underway to determine the type of explosive device used and discover the identities of those responsible. [/restrict]
