Tripoli, 9 September:
Saudi Arabia has sent medical supplies . . .[restrict]to Zliten. The shipment arrived at Tripoli airport on Friday accompanied by a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Health led by its Deputy Director-General of Emergency Services, Sulaiman Bin Ahmad Ashuraiya. They were met by representatives of the Libyan Red Crescent branch in Zliten as well as from the Saudi embassy.
Saudi Arabia clerics were accused last month by the League of Libyan Ulema of being involved in last month’s Salafist attacks on Sufi shrines and mandrassas in Libya, one the most prominent being that of Sidi Abdul-Salam Al-Asmar in Zliten. [/restrict]
