Benghazi, 26 May:

Benghazi local council has decided that Palestinians living in the city can be registered with the consumers’ supply committees . . .[restrict]which provide families with basic rations at subsidised prices.

The decision follows a request by the recently-formed Palestinian Social Charitable Association.

According to the association’s management, Palestinians living in the city have already started to register with these committees.  The number who have done so is reported at more than 400.

The objectives of the association are to provide support and assistance to Palestinian families resident in Libya, and to resolve any problems or disputes that may occur between them and Libyans. [/restrict]
