Sebha, April 9
A delegation of the Libyan Red Crescent Society made a fact-finding visit to the recently troubled southern city of . . .[restrict]Sabha last week.
The delegation included the Secretary General of the Association, Abdulhamid Al-Madani, the operations management director, the heads of the disaster, psychological support and information departments and trustees of the Tripoli, Sebha and Ajdabiya branches.
The head of the Media and Information Department of the Libyan Red Crescent, Mohammad Mustafa Misrati said that the organisation had sent three ambulances to its Sebha branch and a convoy of humanitarian aid from Tripoli the second go which included medical supplies, food, tents and blankets.
The delegation visited the Sebha Medical Centre to assess its needs in terms of medicines and medical equipment. The delegation also visited areas where the Tebu tribes live to distribute aid rations and milk for children. They also provided the Brak as-Shati hospital with medical supplies. [/restrict]
